I'm Marie 

I belong to the Gamilaraay/Kamilaroi Mob, from a small town called Moree in country NSW. I'm the youngest of 4 siblings and we grew up in Moree. It's Home. My sisters and brother are artistic but I'm the only one who was always fascinated and mesmerised by Indigenous Art after always watching my grandmother and other family members draw and paint something while telling a story. I was hooked, seeing their stories come to life through paintings lit a flame inside me from a very young age and from the very first time I saw this I'll never look back. Art is in my blood.

 I always watched and listened to the stories growing up and it really intrigued me. Stories we never knew came to life right Infront of my eyes with paint and I was amazed I've learnt so much observing and listening.

I have so much to give today because of my knowledge with art and that's something that will always be a part of me. I'm now a mother myself to 4 beautiful children and I continue to give what was given to me through my art. I want my children to know where they come from and to feel Deadly, Tall and Proud.
